Anytime an alarm has been activated Cove calls & contacts authorities immediately after receiving no answer. System is easy to use and inexpensive to have. COVE REACHED OUT! Jessyl, a Manager at Cove, reached out today, December 9th, to go over my experience with COVE. She was excellent. Jessyl was professional. Inquisitive. Attentive. Not defensive in the least. Supportive. Encouraging. She showed great integrity on behalf of COVE --- and herself. She came with excellent questions and answered ALL of my questions, which were many because I spent time and money trying to make this security system work. I am taking down the Review I wrote before and changing my 1-Star to 5-Stars. Yes, 5-STARS. What I learned from multiple sources, including Jessyl. COVE, like ALL OTHER Security Sytems on the market, works for some but not others because of cellular antennae connectivity issues in some areas. Since writing my first Review, I learned this was correct from ADT and our cable tv company, XFINITY, which gets customers like me when a security system like COVE and their competitors don't work. Like me, they had to go with the costlier "traditional" setup they offer. The XFINITY system I now have is 4x more expensive than COVE. I want to be very clear; this connectivity issue is not exclusively a COVE issue. Connectivity for one system does not mean all will work. WIERD. STRANGE. Yes and No! I had it explained to me this way by XFINITY. In some areas of the USA, particular cellphone services are better than another. Personally, I knew this to be true. Until TMobile built a tower five miles away from my home, TMobile was the last cellphone service anyone purchased in our area that used a cellphone as their only phone. When I sent the COVE system back, I contacted XFINITY and was told, without hesitation, "NO CELLULAR SYSTEMS (Cove, Google, Amazon, Ring, etc., etc., etc.) will work where you live." He explained my dilemma using a lot of Techie IT language, which I won't repeat here because I don't understand. In short, where I live, XFINITY and ADT get at a lot of their customers when these types of systems don't work. Thus, XFINITY and ADT were our only options. Both are considerably more money, so I hope COVE works for you! As shared before, I am paying more than 4x for XFINITY than I would have paid for COVE's premium service!! Why 1 star to 5 stars? As I shared with Jessyl today, I could not have been happier with the Customer Service I received all the way through this process. COVE contracts with a Customer Service company in the Philippines; that IS THE BEST experience I have ever had with either stateside or offshore customer service and technical support. I will miss JL, who bent over backward to help me. He followed up, tried everything in their manuals, updated my system, and sought assistance from colleagues and more experienced techs. He made appointments with me via email and always showed up on time. Once he was sick and still contacted me and referred me to Pia, who was also exceptional. I loved that this company employed men and women in IT and Tech Support. NEVER did they waste my time retrying things that had already been tried. The Techs had read my file notes and offered a new solution to try. This may sound time-consuming. But in my experience, troubleshooting is never quick unless the company is BSing you. Just sayn'! COVE has a gem of a company working their IT and Tech Support from the Philippines. COVE did not work for me, but I still had an experience I will never forget due to the exceptional customer service I received, even after posting a 1-STAR review. Thank you again, Jessyl! I want to say it again, Jessyl reached out, heard me out, and did not BS me. Her approach was invitational, truthful, and honest. She showed respect and warmth. I am in my 60s and have NEVER had a better experience. I hope COVE works for you. I sincerely hope it works for me. Given my overall experience, I will try it at our home in another state. I will update this community with the outcome.

I really like my Cove alarm system! The DIY setup is fast and step-by-step easy. Customer service is good but I haven’t needed them much. The product is good without their need. We’ve had police show up twice after the sensors were triggered. I feel peace of mind knowing my system is armed and calls the police when it is triggered.

we have had our alarm now for almost 3 years when we moved into our home it was simple to set up and to use. About a year ago we had a small issue when the app would no longer disarm the alarm. After calling in and working with tech support to fix the problem they figured out it was an issue with the panel so the ended up sending us out a new control panel witch fixed the problem and we have continued to enjoy the security system.

To begin with I have used a security system in all of my homes since 1995. They have all had monitoring. Over the years the systems have become more technical and do more to protect your home including video monitoring. My last system or should I say the one I was replacing with this Cove system was a self install manufactured by Frontpoint. It went in and has functioned without any issues for the past four years. I like this system but their monitoring fee was getting to be too much ( over $50.00/mo no video monitoring). So after some research I decide to go with Cove. Well I can only say that it has been a nightmare from start to no finish. The installing company they contact with was a no show. I had to call in to find out the installer had over booked and rescheduled me with no notice. Meanwhile I wasted an entire day waiting for them? After this I decided I would self install. Big mistake. You need an app on your phone to install video devices. Well after nearly an hour on the phone their technicians and even a supervisor could not figure out why I could not log into their application. I have been promised a call back but am not holding my breath. So far I have installed all of the components except the exterior mounted camera which is charging. When I say installed I mean they are attached to my home. Whether they are working or not depends on what piece you are talking about. I keep getting warnings from the panel that this devices are low on battery life etc. These are brand new out of the box. When I told the service tech this he did not offer to send a replacement or anything. In fact he just kept hammering me to type in the same username and password until I was locked out. He would not listen. He kept acting like I was not getting the username and password right? Finally he figured out he could not log in with my id either. So then came a supervisor. Same dance. I must be an idiot and cannot type. Oh well, sorry sir I cannot log in either. This after nearly an hour! I am so frustrated I want to rip it all of the windows, doors and ceilings and send it back. So sorry I ever went this route. Frontpoint has offered to upgrade my system and reduce my monitoring fee if I stay with them. That may be faster and quicker than trying to install this very shaky system which seems to have very poor technical support. I am now waiting for a call back from a supervisor who could not figure things out at the tech's desk. I asked him what number he would be calling from so I would be sure to pick up ( lots of scammers) but he could not give me that information. So I told him I may or may not pick up unless he goes to voicemail and leaves a message. Such a big headache for something that should not be so tough. Does not instill any faith in Cove. The system just now announced the hall motion sensor has now lost connection to the panel? I think the batteries are probably dead in that as well. Had to replace them in the smoke detector as well. This is brand new stuff? Good thing I left the other system on line and intact as I think this whole junk system is going to go straight back to where it came from. Very frustrating experience. As a follow up I was contacted by a Cove Customer Service representative regarding this review. I want to say that their customer service and dedication to their customers is excellent. I think that things went sideways for me when the third party installer rescheduled without any notice leaving me unable to make their appointment time. So I decided to self install. For me that did not go well. I admit I lost patience and felt like after I started getting error messages I could not trust the equipment. For now I kept my existing Frontpoint system and Cove returned my money in full. I hope they consider some other installers as the company they had come out to my place was just too busy and not professional in their conduct in terms of zero communication. Their time was more important than mine I guess. Sadly this reflected back on Cove in this review.
